As a 23 black women:
What Blue Ink Taught Me About Purpose gave language to what I’ve been feeling for years. Sharona Henderson doesn’t just write—she reflects. Her words spoke to the tension I carry daily: trying to live with clarity in a world that prefers comfort over truth.
As a young Black woman, I’ve often felt “too much” for simply seeing clearly and speaking honestly. This piece reminded me that light will always bring contrast—and that’s not a flaw. It’s power. It’s purpose.
This story didn’t just inspire me. It affirmed me. I’m not here to dim. I’m here to burn—with clarity, courage, and care.
I absolutely enjoyed this book. From the very beginning, the writer brings us in to her thought process though the lens of her personal experience. Then we are challenged to consider and confront who and why we are in relation to the light. In less than 30 pages, she informs, inspires, and encourages us though page after page of profoundly insightful wisdom. A must read.
